LN130 2lt conversion too what.........

Postby LEAKER » Sun Jan 08, 2012 11:26 am

So i have purchased a LN130 Surf with a 2lt in it. The vehicle runs and drives, but i can't help but feel like i would prefer a petrol motor in it. What would be a suitable conversion for it other that the obvious 1uz or 3vz. I was thinking maybe a 1jzge etc. It wont really be doing any 4wding, i only really got it for carting the dog around and my mountain bikes with some occasional towing.

2JZGE and auto so it all just bolts together, then all you have to do is make new engine mounting brackets.
or a 5VZFE from a VZN185

If you must have petrol, do this. I'd avoid the V6's.
Also don't forget you need to change fuel system.

Or, whack a SC14 on to the 2L

Hows this for a plan
2LT
Twin charged
Front Mount
big exhuast.
4 gallons an hour of 40% meths/60% water injection
about 18psi

should make it stand up and go places

its a 2lt, not a 2l or the normal 2lte. Would an sc14 be of benifit over the turbo do you think?

And so everyone understands, it was basically free so i can spend a bit of money on it without feeling like its a waste.

btw, i think an lfa motor might be slight overkill. but i could sack it on 22" rims, use air bag suspension, put a 20b pp as brad suggested , run it front wheel drive and turn it into a convertible as well. cause that would be cool..........

bigger exhuast, intercooler, water & meths injection and up the boost, you will be suprised.
