I can't recomend the adjustable one enough. Especially at that price.

It absolutely blew my mind, I raved about it, now we've got three Corolla's (maybe four?) and two Starlet's in the club all using them on autocross' and tracks, and all saying good things about them.

Larger rear bar? could you elaborate a little? Larger rear bar as in just the diameter or are they both not interchangable at all?

i'm pretty certain they aren't interchangable. but what nick was referring to is ae111 has a larger rear bar as standard than the ae92.

ae111 BZR has a 18mm bar (same spec as TRD) and so does the ae101 gtz if you are looking for a good cheap upgrade.

standard is 18mm solid bar and TRD is 19mm hollow bar. it works out to be about the same.

How did you come to that conclusion?
Being at work at the moment i don't have any of my sway bar calc stuff here.

A hollow bar is stiffer than same diameter solid bar.
A larger diameter is stiffer than a smaller bar.

However wall thickness and material will have a factor as well

I'm not having a go, one of us is mistaken and if it's me I'd like to be corrected!

^ TRD tell you not to fit their 19mm bar to a BZR lol

Superstrut AE101 / prefacelift AE111 have a 17mm rear bar (some may even have a 16mm rear bar)
AE111 BZR's have a 18mm rear bar

Yeah but that could be for several reasons.
Would be keen to see actual proper figures for them

http://trdparts.jp/english/parts_stabilizer.html

Rear
(Except model after 97.4 with Super strut suspension)

φ=19.1 Hollow type
27% stiffer than OE

And doesn't matter if the car is superstrut or not, the rear bars are interchangable on AE101/AE111

I fitted the larger front bar to my car first, made it drive like a pig.

Put the matching 18mm adjustable whiteline in and it became a little buggy to drive.

You can feel the rear of the car working now!

Not unless the laws of physics have changed recently, or you are talking about different materials

Hollow bar stiffer than same weight solid bar for sure.
