Timo at Octane Automotive here in Palmy builds some sweet cages!

Few mates have had him build roll cages and the quality is top notch

agree with this x 1000

I've put so many car club guys onto Timo that I really should be getting a commission from him.

Craig Paterson fabrication / Mag and turbo palmy does a top notch cage too.

His price is $2k for a standard 6 point including homologation.

Thanks for all the recommendations guys, does anyone know what prices these places charge for a standard-ish 6 point full cage?

Seems to be a guy on the shore doing them for $1400, I know the quality of the work matters, but it seems that finding someone starting out is the cheapest way to get one as once they've made a name for themselves, the prices start climbing...

I've heard above Octane Automotive from back in the day when Karl and Matt etc got their cages done there, are their prices still as good?

Yup Octane is still very well priced, certainly when compared to other options available in Wellington anyway.

Pretty sure you'll find it's the same Craig, he left Dunedin & moved up to Palmy. Been a year or so since I saw him last, but even then he was doing cages & stuff in palmy.
