silver Supra's in Wellington?

Postby Leon » Mon Feb 20, 2012 9:16 pm

So anyone here driving down Cortina Ave in J'ville this afternoon in a silver Supra (the 1990+ shape) ... number plate Cxxxxx?

If so ... what's the story ... there was a seriously shortened Supra, and a red van than looked rather like somebody had run up the arse of it at *considerably* more than 50kph.

I know of one silver Supra with a plate starting with that letter. And that belongs to Snaps. But it's entirely possible it is someone else.

Sorry for the giant photos ... my friend took them with her phone and then sent them to me. I fear she may have sent rather small versions ...

Gunmetal not silver ;) I know a guy from Upper Hutt (Colzy) who may have had one that colour, though I can't recall if he was repainting it a different colour or not.

I *think* it was silver not gunmetal ... or is that what Toyota calls that colour? That photo was taken directly into low sun, from a really cheap cell. So the photo isn't too flash.

Supra's tend to come in a few gray'ish colours.

Snap's has a silver one, they also have one called moonstone, which is another shade (NILPSI's supra is that colour). I also think theres another shade of grey too, or maybe I'm confusing myself. Either way, bit of a shame to see another one possibly being written off.

Hmm pretty sure I've seen that Supra around though the front end looked a bit different, bummer.

That's rather strange you know that  I had to think for a few seconds before I remembered my last numberplate...

Its probably worse that I remember it as CUS but couldn't recall the last three numbers. Though apparently they were 177 :p

Alpine Silver, Moonstone and Gun-Metal. That's a 1997-99' Gun-Metal one. Probably either an automatic or 5-speed NA. Either way it's a nice car wrecked.

Reckon you could get the full-sized image sent to you?

I'm pretty sure I've met and had a chat to the owner of it, I remember the wheels were very similar to those, same colour and a late model I think... if its the same its a 5 speed n/a.

Also pretty sure a while after that I saw it at The Surgery getting a lot of frontal work done... but this was years ago... I also have a good memory when it comes to Supra's, lol.

Dont worry SNAPS, your one is still terrorizing the hutt with its DOOF DOOF and attempts at hooning.
