what gearbox is this?

Postby themaleman » Wed Apr 11, 2012 8:20 pm

this gearbox is mounted to a 16v 4age, from a suzuki, we are planing on building 2 4agze powered suzukis running fwd gearboxes and no trans case. in the meantime i would like to use this box with a 4agze IF the box is capable. i have no idea what is is, all the pics Ive seen of toyota boxes look like they have changeable bell-housings, where this 1 looks to be 1 piece so im thinking it may be off something different all together.

Looks like a modded Starlet K series K50 redrilled to mate to an A series block. No use on a 4A-GZE if you want it to last more than 5 minutes.

Im guessing your talking about a SJ413??? I built one in conjuction with a 4wd outfit for a customer. Used Hilux diffs, but standard suzuki gearbox and transfer. The engine was a later model suzuki 2 litre, but with a 4a-gze super charger and LINK ecu, this thing was trying to wheel stand in the dyno in 2wd with shitty tyres on the back.
