brake bias issue

Postby gleem » Wed May 09, 2012 8:18 pm

My front left brake only works and locks up all the time and leaves only one line even when skidding on gravel. Found the reservoir empty as all fluid had drained out the rear brake cylinder so changed that and both rear shoes.

Bleed them all out and bled the front. NNow my right rotor has had the rust scrapped of so the pads are working more than before but the left still locks up all the time.

Have also bled the master cylinder.

Any other possibilities?

Piston could be sticking. Just another possibility anyway. No crap in the line to the side that's not working? Did you flush the lines or just fill and bleed till no air?

yeh might be time to pull the caliper apart and replace the seals and give a clean out. Are the sliders free to move?
