Shit, thats a fair bit lower in height than the Prius C!

Wonder how long it'll take till we get them in stock. I'll start pumping liquid nitrogen into hell so I can hope to get one as a demonstrator.

I went into my local dealer and they still know nothing about this car!!

Anyways, its being released this week in Australia. 8th of the 6th.

Here is the pricing in Aus, think its reasonable TBH, at low 40's is where I think it needs to be to get people into it, and that leaves room for mandatory upgrades.

86 GT manual – $29,990/ $33,748 Drive away ($43,400NZD)
86 GTS manual – $35,490 / $39,468 Drive Away ($50800NZD)

You can go to the official NZ 86 Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/Toyota86nz and register for the chance to win a Toyota 86 for 86 days! Now that could be a very fun 86 days....

8)

also check out the official site where you can register to get more info:

Looking forward to seeing these driving around on NZ roads (/tracks)!

Thanks Dave.

I did hear from the local dealer this-morning with pricing and its not too bad.

Cant wait to drive one and determine if I am a "genuine buyer", I am a "genuine consumer" and early adopter and have brought brand new cars site unseen before based on hype before and it did not turn out so well being sold less than a year later and great loss, I would think these will hold a good amount of value though.

I have a new Megane RS and it would have to be quite spectacular to make me trade it in, the Megane is both very very fast on the road and track and is a shit load of fun, it is also very well equipped. I am not into modifying either and don't want a car that will need a lot of parts fitted to become fast..

This review gave me second thoughts, the GT vs what I currently drive I very much trust EVO as a non bias publication. I would like to drive one on a Kiwi road before making judgment, wit the amount of hype surrounding this car and keeping in mind what I already have I have very high standards to meet. The last Subaru I drove was a the current STI and it was very disappointing.

Looking at Aussie pricing this could actually be a realistic contender for addition to driveway. Interested in having a go in one. I'm curious but still not sold on the lack of power.

Heh, yeah sorry guys... it took less than 20 minutes from the time I posted the pricing to the time my CEO gave me a phone call advising that the head of Toyota NZ had been on to him about it ;)

just saw the pricing on FB and it is quite impressive to be honest. Beats the CRZ with it's opening pricing.

Hmm.. get now or wait until revision, because Toyota always fixes the first releases mistakes on the revision!
