Hi bzrspeed, don't take the comments seriously!

They are simply a crude type of humor which is easily mistaken for insult unfortunately.

Good to see some car enthusiast projects from Europe. Reminds me of my time there :)

Head flows amazing.

Why do you make fun of me? Is it because car not japanese? Race car is a race car! I dont get why you all make fun of me in that picture.

im not making fun of you, i just think its a rather large claim.

im sure im not the only one who would genuinely be interested in hearing whats been done to it!

Always heard the rumor that if you couldn't fix a lada with the tool kit they came with they weren't worth fixing?

Is the body kit (flares, front lip, rear spoiler) custom or something from a company that makes them?

wheel flare and bodykit are factory lada. But many other companies make them. They are forest flare but tarmac flare also but is shorter.
Bodykit i can get for you for 495 new zealand plus shipping from lada
Complete car in race specification and all labour cost 12000euro. We used to make it in 2 weeks. Start to finish. Turn key race cars very popular. I dont know why they dont do it here.

Business is for sale. Maybe you buy and i work there again.

Whats the cc on that? 190hp is not at all unbelievable.
Just because its non crossflow and is not a jappa doesn't mean they can't crank out some grunt. Those ports certainly look serious!
:o Bet it idles like shit

1598cc.
Idle is between 300rpm and 1500rpm. It very hard to drive in daily task. I always used to stall it.

Too expensive here. As you know, our labour is much more expensive. 80 hours work from an average workshop would be roughly $7500 by itself, a specialised race workshop would be much higher.

^ This and Kiwis are DIY-ers. You'll have a hard time convincing lil Johnny to pay you to build something he and his bros can do themselves for less $$$ (albeit not as well most of the time but some of the greatest stuff in this country is home built by unknowns in their garages)

After watching this video, 190hp certainly isn't unbelievable. The Datsun L16 (similar non-crossflow 1600cc carb) can make those numbers in race spec.

Look like pretty quick little cars! :)
