try fraser fire and engineering in wingate. they have a couple guys there that should be able to help you out

I thought the whole point of the plate was to deal with the taper created when uprighting an engine? Personally I would just give Sheldon cash to create what you need as finding anyone else in the country with half a clue on K series stuff is a pretty remote possibility.

I dont follow? When the motor is upright, the ports are horizontal...TRD manifolds are straight, shouldnt be a requirement for a taper?

Yeah I was thinking water jet could also work. Talking to the man about it, they're made of 20mm thick plate, will water jet do that?

christes water jet can cut up to 50mm thick

Well the water jetter here in welly will cut 200mm with course grit.
Taking longer? Cant see how? Scan it cut out test piece out of hard board etc. check it-if all good then cut out of required material.

The purpose of the plate is to provide secure fixing and space for both inlet & exhaust manifolds separately.
I bought one of these kits new in about 1981 and replicated the plate on a milling machine.
From memory the inlets aren't tapered but they are angled both downwards and inwards.
Do you have a template to work with?

No I don't, was hoping to get dimensions/one made. Did you get the bellhousing too Bruce, or just the manifolds?

I got the whole kit. Bloody expensive it was. There wasn't a bellhousing. If i remember correctly the gearbox leant over with the motor. There was a trianglulated bracket to attach to the crossmember and we bent the gearlever to suit. I've still got all the Tosco catalogues and spec sheets here so I'll check.
The manifolds themselves were about 6 or 7 hundred from memory but the plate was about 9 hundred which is why we made another one.

Interesting...I believe there was an upright bellhousing, but that may have only been for the TS cup cars perhaps.
Would love to see the Tosco catalogues if you can ever scan and upload them.

I'm 99% certain there was not a bell housing made by Tosco. I cannot tell you about something aftermarket made later.
