No such stock engine, it's stupidly expensive to create yourself and boosting a stock NA engine on pump gas you'll not get near the 400kw.
I almost killed my tuner when we boost creeped and accidentially pulled 390kw on race gas. Popped that engine and another before we managed to get some sponsorship to help with the Cosworth build.

The good thing about a V6 twin is that there is so little spool that you would sware that it's a big NA engine.

Still think that the V6 twin is a better option over a 4 cylinder or V8.

Only other option I would go would be 13b turbo.

best of both worlds i'd say,
weigh less than a v8, (alloy V6 motors)
same kinda torque (if not more)
reliablility (modern engines)
size & ability to fit into engine bays.

what v6 would be suitable? R35 engine would be nice I guess. but a bit expensive perhaps?

The main issue with Massive HP v6's (unless they are something special) is they tend to run fairly skinny rods to pack them all in, this leads to skinny big end bearings etc..

People seem to love ratios (power per litre, power to weight etc).

Why not start a comparison thread to discuss/compare people's own cars/projects/bikes whatever.

Bugger.. you nailed it.
Although I'd go further to promote the virtues.
I think they can easily develop more torque than most V8's. The race turbo 3.5 V6's in Ausi are spanking the arse of 6.0 V8's.
The flow of modern v6's is amazing. The VQ is a race engine in terms of flow charastics. Look down the lower intake and you can see most of both intake valves. Race teams don't touch them for anything under 600hp.

The packaging of the V6 twin promotes a very good natural turbo install. One turbo under each bank directly into an intercooler, directly into a plenum that feeds the other bank. Tidy, low spool, and high power. We pulled 519whp at i bar on piddly little GT2560r's!

Don't however consider converting a NA engine to boost cheap, or simple. Additionally the rings aren't designed for boost. It'll breath like a mofo.

In terms of reliability I've been stupified by the stock Nissan VQ. It's been a fantastic power package considering we accidentially pushed 519whp (boost creep). We have lost two rod bearings both due to oil starvation. In offroad racing its very difficult not to run the pickup dry. However I'd rate the stock Nissan bearing set over the ACL's we also run. The ACL's seem to run with the slightest drop in pressure.

Who said anything about stock or pump gas? But I have seen a stock blocked one pull 600 rwhp on E85, that stuff is magic hahaha.

Either that or an ls2 in a FD.

just buy my car when its done, will weigh about 800kgs and should make 300kw + :wink: and if you throw in the right fuel and up the boost A LOT! you culd probly crack 400kw.... but its only running a max 3ppp (people pushing power) at the moment
