Urgent Help!

Postby bzrspeed » Thu Jun 28, 2012 4:32 pm

I am working on BT50 3.0D turbo and replaced rear main seal but still leaking, replaced again with new part and still leaking.
Ideas?? I have installed correctly and part is factory new so what else could it be?

Help this has me very confused.

excessive crankcase pressure causing oil to blow past the seal?

I have run the engine with the rocker cover cap off which should relive the pressure. Very good idea. thank you

But still did not work.

the seal sureface on the crank maybe too worn, you can get what they call a speedie sleeve to slide over it to give it a new sealing surface,

this is more likely with High km's vehicles

haha so true. Most of the hyped up BS I read on forums doesnt happen in the real world.

Its like working with apprentices, they talk the talk but put em on the floor they know sweet $&#$% all.

Experiance is the differance.
