Hey All
after many many hondas and a fast but unreliable VW Golf GTi I have purchased a 2001 Rolla GLX Hatch Manual. I have to say the 100kw ZZ122R engine is far from exciting, and short of replacing the donk with an imported 140kw version, what mods can you guys recommend for a little power increase? is it even worth it?
Not wanting to spend money I dont have but am keen to hear your opinions.
I am also the proud owner of an ivory interior model, looking to get rid of that and replace with the black/grey interior from a T sport or GL model if anyone knows where I can find a set. Mainly want to focus on changing the front and rear seats and centre console to start with. Then maybe the door cards etc
appreciate any advice
Cheers
David

I don't have experience with that engine / car. However, sounds to me like you just got a car which doesn't fit your needs / wants.
My advice (easy to give when it's not me in the situation) is sell it and buy the car with the better interior and better motor to start with. I just don't see the point in buying a lower spec car, and changing it into a higher spec one. Much easier to just start with a car the meets your requirements.

after rereading my post, I can see how this looks now
dont get me wrong, I like the car and it is extremely well spec'd and easy to drive, I just want to change a couple of interior aspects and maybe give it a bit more pep. I bought it because it was NZ New and had a full history, is chain driven and well looked after. It will remain relatively stock for its life, I just wanted some ideas on a couple of bolt on's that are value for money and make a small difference to improve the driving experience
