That right, its FSAE team raffle time
Over the years many toyspeeders have helped the team out by buying raffle tickets off former FSAE team members like Malcolm and Ollie and i'm hoping to tap that support again to help get the team to Australia again this year.

Sweet prizes supplied by the teams awesome sponsors include:

Dewalt cordless tools
JVC Car Audio from Repco
$250 of MTA vouchers & another prize of $100 of MTA vouchers
$50 BP vouchers
Castrol Oil
Car alarm and installation courtesy of Camz Autosounds
$50 Lonestar vouchers
Go-karting vouchers from Formula E for you and 7 mates for their A1GP format race.

and many more.

A total of 51 prizes worth over $4000, and the money goes into building a bloody awesome little racecar and beating Australians on their own turf!

Full prize list and other details here

Only $5 per ticket, its a bloody good deal!

Your support really is appreciated, so drop me a PM telling me how many tickets you want and I'll sort it out for you.

That is the 2008 car on display at Te Papa in 2009, its a very different car to the current one. One of the competition rules is that every year the car has to be substantially different to the previous one.. which more or less means we have to build a new chassis every year. They also change the rules a bit every year, and on of the big changes was the competition points, fuel economy became much more important in 2009ish.

2008 car had a yamaha r6 engine with a supercharger, the 2011 car is a custom engine based around a yamaha 450cc single head and barrel on a cnc machined crankcase mated to a custom transaxle. A bit less power (both have to run the same sized restrictor), less weight, and tighter packaging.

Unfortunately it looks like the TS crowd missed out on any prizes. :(

However, a mate of mine won Motorstorm: Apocalypse for PS3.. and doesn't own a PS3. So the first TSer that brought a ticket to post here gets it.
