They're typical Corollas really...super strut bits wear out and are a bit spendy, rotors are hard to get aftermarket. Gearboxes get noisy when they're thrashed (synchros).
Do the usual engine checks and if it seems ok then it will be fine
1988 KE70 Wagon - Slowly rusting
1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons
2018 Ranger - Because workcar
1997 FD3S RX-7 Type R - all brap, all the time
OMG so shiny!

I'd tend to go for one that was closer to standard than that. Personal preference, but without getting too stereotypical... tacky stickers, diy tint done badly, crappy handbrake lever etc Just puts me off.

For example:

They seem to go for a bit. I'd probably just go for a BZR for similar money

yeah this car came to my mind when i read your post, i was actually going to post it, its a bloody nice looking gtz.

supercharged levins are a very good car imo, personally ive had two 20v ae101 and ae111 levins, and ive never been in the supercharged one but from what i read it sounds good, the engine is strong as $&#$% and could handle 500hp on standard internals (i think around that?) so you got plenty of headroom for making it go faster.

personally i like the look of the ae111 model more, after spending over 2 grand rebuilding mine im wondering what would have been if i just did a supercharged 4age conversion

I had a quick drive of my ae101 gtz donor car before i pulled the engine out.

I really like the low down pickup and it felt like it was still pulling hard at 6500rpm (although it had the bigger pulley on it). I cant wait to get it in my ae92.

So i would go supercharged but I have not driven a blacktop so i do not know how they compare.

They are fun but the novelty of the supercharger can wear off. I had one with a 14psi pulley on it and it was great fun. Had quite a loud exhaust so you could hear the change in sound when you planted the charger.

As with anything superstrut, be prepared to get a stab in the wallet if any of it needs replacing. I had one front upper arm replaced once and it cost me somewhere around $500 just for that (was 5 years ago though).

doesn't super strut need overhauling after 100,000km or so? I read it somewhere but am not 100% sure I remember correctly.

Just do a mac conversion with decent coilovers works out similar price to replacing factory s/s setup

tbh I prefer s/s but had to change for my 5stud conversion and the coilovers I have now are so much better then anything I could have gotten in s/s (and are able to get certed) plus gives me more options later on
Why dream it when you can live it

totally dependant on wear etc. Its just like any suspension part or bushing. So yes at some point in time the s/s arms will need replacing.

I replaced the s/s arms on my AE101 GTZ Trueno I owned (sold it a year or two ago now), its a piss easy job to do unlike others would make you believe.

Cost wise from memory it was close to a couple of hundred per arm.

They are a fun car to drive in the tight twisty stuff, providing you have a semi decent shock / spring setup.

If I wanted another thrash / hack wouldnt hesitate to get another 101GTZ

No I like the AE101's over the AE92's,

even though I owned an AE92GTZ.
