slipway is closed now?

i used to ride the mountainbike track "long gully" there, (stopped when I tore my acl there), IIRC its all privately owned land they have motocross tracks there too, I could possibly get the land owners email and see if they want to let us in?

i used to know the padlock number for the gate there too but i believe they have changed it and have a great bit electronically activated gate at the entrance by the turbine now.

yes, read this again if you are unsure

we (harbour capital car club) are on a first name basis with the land owners and getting physical access is not a problem for us.

the problem is that the slipway facility cannot be used until resource consent is granted to the land owners. this will not be possible till zealandia's appeal against the granting of resource consent has been resolved in the environment court

ahh right. that sucks. Yes I did read that but I did not fully understand you have cleared it up for me. I know they had some problems with resource consents on some of the bike tracks there too.

I would like to help organise a scavenger hunt, but then I would not be able to participate in it!!!!!

Catch 22 if ever I had one. But I'll opt to help organise it.

That's if people are keen on doing one?

Until you race your car at manfeild on the Monday, damn near blow it up and drive back to Whangarei the same night your argument is invalid :P
