Factory 4age to W55 bellhousing?

Postby Hachiroku » Wed Jul 18, 2012 11:07 pm

Came across this on Trademe:

http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-par ... 974839.htm

The guy reckons its a factory Toyota A to W bellhousing. I thought they were only available aftermarket? Has he got his wires crossed or is it legit? I asked him last time and he was pretty adamant about it.

Didn't we figure out that it should have the correct designation stamped in the mounting face?

all the w series bellhousings are labelled on the surface that mounts to the gearbox, so if you remove the housing there is a letter in there.

I now know the mystery bellhousing I have is an L series diesil one.

If it actually comes close to lining up on a 4A then it is likely to be a K -W bell, I have a K - T that has been redrilled for A series. Well it will actually be a K to G but they bolt up the same a W's, from a Liteace van.

I'm not sure, I don't have it on me. I'm pretty sure the guy can read though

Maybe when I get it back I'll post up a pic...
