Can anyone recommend some paint protection?

I'm not sure what's available in NZ, what/would anyone recommend it?

I see people in AUS go crazy about getting their new cars OptiCoated, but I just haven't heard of anyone doing it in NZ.

Gaurd-X is pretty good, though something of a pig to apply.

Honestly though, waxing the car every few months is as good/better.

Are you looking to protect it from stone chips, or just general wear and tear?

If its just wear and tear, then a good cleaning regime, and quality wax 2 or 3 times a year will be all you need.

Yeah the more research I do, the more I'm tending to shy away from paint protection now. Most people agree that regular cleaning and a wax every 3-4 months would yield a better result.

Best paint protection is... using good quality paint in the first place!

Good quality 2 pack clearcoat with good UV protection is the best protection from chemical/weathering problems, and not going excessive on film build helps minimize damage from stone chips.

But if its factory paint, clean it and wax it, park it in the shade (but away from bird poop/tree sap), stay away from industrial areas with nasty acid rain/chemical fallout.

Where can I buy this stuff in NZ by the litre?

If you search plasti dip on trade me you'll find a vendor selling the approx 300gm spray cans like on the videos. Make sure you leave a space between plasti and dip otherwise search won't work.

I got some from Barton Marine in Wellington too as saw they were performix stockists and they ordered it in for me.
