Sorted out my fuel leaking problem, replaced the injector orings aswel as they were leaking.

And now is cranking over but no spark, have 12v at the ignitor coil, 12v on the lead going to the dizzy but nothing from the dizzy to the spark plugs.

At the same time when i use the the screwdriver up the lead or put the lead on a spark tester theres no spark on the ignitor coil to the dizzy coil.

Anyone have any ideas of what could be the problem? or anyone in wellington thats a wiring guru that doesn't mind popping over to have a look?

the car is based in miramar, am going to get my hands on another dizzy and see if that solves it. if not im thinking of just getting a sparky

We use him for most of our efi diagnosis that our scanner won't pick up. He is mobile and works in town daily. He does charge but knows his stuff.

Question for you all, does the ignitor and coil ground itself through the ignitors body which is screwed to the the coil on the same bracket that the coil gets secured to the cars chassis?

Had this thought after looking at heaps of photos, and realized that my coil wasn't bolted onto my car and wasnt sitting on anything metal either.

Could this be a fault as to why I'm getting no spark?

Yes correct,

the igniter case is part of the circuit and needs to be earthed to get spark.
