Recommend a builder in Wgtn -fairly major deck and roof work

Postby ~SlideWays~ » Wed Sep 12, 2012 1:37 pm

Can anyone recommend a builder they have used in Wellington, for a complete rebuild and extension of a big deck on two storey house. Plus Repairs and repaint of corrugated roof.

I've had two people in for the deck and one of them to quote on the roof as well.

The prices are about the same for the deck (massively expensive  ) but thinking of getting another opinion since its such a large sum of money. Plus so far the communication/organisational skills have been very very bad from one of them. I hate that.

Anyone in the business or have had work like this done?

Thanks

Well, ok ... so two days running in reply to your questions, I'll mention Adam Fisher.

He and Len put a new floor into my kitchen and new tiles down.

Adam is about to put a whole lot of new iron on the roof too (in fact all the sheets are sitting in the back yard at the moment). I'll be doing the painting myself though, cos painting is a walk in the park, so that won't take me long.

Yes in reply to the question about KP steering racks.

Yip, good price on the roofing. Quite a lot cheaper than the other two quotes we got. Ditto on the kitchen floor replacement.
