Exhaust manfiold skimming (Auckland)

Postby STR » Thu Sep 13, 2012 11:49 am

I need to get my manifold skimmed, as it turns out the gasket blew at the last sprint meeting and it's not flat any more.

Where's the best place in Auckland to get that done?
Also, anyone know of a good place to source a new triple layer gasket for a 4AGZE? Repco etc only have the single layer paper ones, and they suck balls.

Sorry OP, I dont have an answer for you but rather than making a new a new thread on the same topic, does anybody have any recommendations on where to get the same work done in Wellington, please?

I have a FFIM that I want to put on my 2jz, but the flange is not perfectly true, so I would rather deal with it now than cross my fingers and hope it seals come fitting time.

 I was thinking that was perhaps a little on the steep side for an exhaust gasket!

if the exhaust flange is stainless ,they warp all the time we just use 2 exhaust gaskets and that fixes every thing
