Saw a white one down memorial ave the other day and it looked awesome nice and clean, i was considering trading my sti in a while ago for the 86 but unfortunately the wife said no

i reckon you would have more fun in that car with the power as opposed to having say 300hp, i mean my friend has an ae86 with around 110kw@wheels and i have more fun driving that around the hills than my sti with 240kw@wheels

There really aren't that many ways in NZ on the roads to enjoy 300hp very often.

So I guess the lower power 86 on low grip tyres makes for "fun" not "awesomescary" driving experience.

That'll be Fireflys one, parks it there when he's running late.
I get the good grace to drive past it a few times a day and admire.
Also drive past the Toyota dealership on Montreal St and they quite often have one hanging about there as well.

Just taken delivery of my TRD GT86. Thought you guys might want to see a photo. Yes, cost a fortune, and is no more powerful than the stock one, but she does look good IMHO. I love her :mrgreen:

Officially it is TRD4 in NZ.

Added on every TRD part available even after the TRD conversion including
TRD Carbon Strut Bar
TRD Stabiliser (sway bar) set
TRD Coilovers with recommended 15mm drop
TRD chassis rigidity kit

And, after all that I added:
Tints
Paint and fabric protection
Armrest

No, has the brakes and wheels but keeps the stock suspension. TRD coilovers are extra on top.

Unreal, you'd think it'd include the suspension at least! I guess they handle well enough in stock trim though.
