quick footwork question

Postby dnalunchie » Thu Dec 06, 2012 10:29 pm

Hey all

I know similar questions have been asked b4 but as far as I could tell from searching it hasnt been asked recently and there have been several new products come out.

So question is for a JDM compact like an EVO or STI etc which tire would you go with for daily driving in both wet and dry conditions.

Price is NO object.

Just curious what people think of some of the newer generation tires such s RE002, spootmaxx and GSD2/GSD3 asymmetric etc etc

Not asking for myself but rather just keen to get some opinions for general use for the Toyspeed community as a whole.

If I have missed a recent thread that supplies this info mods please feel free to link it and lock this thread.

Perhaps ask on a WRX / EVO specific forum for that information?

If you just want opinions on tyres, it's covered every 6 months minimum in tyre threads. RE002 featured in the last one. CBF linking it though, search is easy. You get what you pay for. If money is no object, you'll get some good ones

oh I wasnt asking for evo sti, just giving examples as basically a default JDM compact. Will do some more searching, must have been using the wrong keywords :) Cheers Luke

^^ i agree with nick. Invos are awesome tyres.. we call the tread pattern design 'never ending prisms of grip'

Nitto nt555 also pretty good in wet. much better than the dunslops on mums wrx..

Only other tyre I've been impressed with in the wet wa a federal. not sure on model as it was ages ago..
