Was surprised to see one coming in to wainui the other day, but then again they may have just been coming over for our corners

Might have been the white project one from Speedtechnz (STM) at Seaview since the Wainui corners are pretty close to them.

The red brakes were really noticeable and the rear of the car looked good also as I drove by.

Assume that was me but could have been the white one from King Toyota.

Just got to the 1,600km so can open mine up now. Went by the book for run-in for the 5 year warranty.

On a car this light and without that much power I thought the brakes would be overkill (can't even wash between the callipers and the wheels they are so big in the 18" wheels) but they are primo. Can't wait for the next trackday at Manfeild to test them out properly.

Lots of talk about the lack of power but for a nanny driver like me there's plenty!

Here's a couple of pics from yesterday after I waxed her up!

Yep it was the white one.

I'd love that brake package on the Supra if I'm really honest.

Yep, with the extra power of the Supra would be a great combo. Andre at STM is putting an equivalent BBK on their project 86 and without the TRD branding they are half the price.

Might have to go and have a little chat to my tuner as I have the TRD Monoblock brake kit in the front of my car aswell along with the suspension and just about everything in the TRD catalogue for the Supra.

I'm a huge fan of the product and have track tested the lot and it works really well.

F**K that Griffon concept is awesome.

I saw the time of 1.01 with a stock motor and laughed and pretty much thought straight away it was on slicks..

Even funnier its the same speed as the 900+ Jun Supra at the same track.

HP over-rated more grip over HP anyday.

I went and looked at one the other weekend at toyota wellington had a sit and a poke around

Was tempted to go for a test ride but ran out of time

My thoughts are

1. Needs more low
2. no rear seat space even with me sitting close to the pedals/steering wheel
3. helmet clearence was lacking (I had my new helmet with me so I tried :p)

think ill stick with the ae111 and the bike for now
Why dream it when you can live it

One wee trick for the helmet is that it was designed so the headrests turn around so the helmet fits nicely in the indent of the reversed headrest.

Oil pressure all over the place on the onboard video ? hope thats just loose wiring.
Anyone heard of people running bearings while using slicks ?

What gearbox are they running I wonder. All the vehicles I know off the top of my head with a 2gr are auto. Although the 4gr in the is250 comes in manual and that box would be fine in a lighter car.

I also wonder how this has affected the balance, don't imagine the 2gr is light; although I hope that it is!
