Anybody using an innovate LC-1 or LM-1/2 to emulate a narrowband o2 sensor to the factory ECU?

Just asking cos Mark has quoted me moonbeams (+ 2-3week wait) for a TGP narrowband o2 sensor, and for similar money I could grab an innovate LC-1 kit, use it to emulate the narrowband sensor and have wideband goodness to monitor the effects of future upgrades. Just basically want to know that the emulation mode on these thing actually works okay.

Otherthan that, anybody got a pointer to decent priced (<$100) narrowband o2 sensor to fit gen2 3sgte (has the two bolt flange, not screw in) locally?

I have a lc1 kit with gauge emulating the narrow band in the crx and it seems to work well. Will throw it on the dyno for a 2nd o2 reading to confirm

I'm assuming thats a source for a cheap narrowband? I've emailed them, and will see what they come back with. Still keen to hear if anyone is using emulation and how well it fools the factory ECU. Might get the LC-1 anyway.

I have a LC-1 emulating the factory O2 sensor. Not sure how well it works with long term fuel trims etc. But the factory ECU certianly thinks it is getting an O2 signal and I can see the narrow band O2 values it is sending to the factory ECU on my piggy back ECU.

yeah, was around 70-80 bucks last time i checked, though probably was 1-2 years ago

Petroject didn't bother replying to my email, and found some web reviews saying the innovate widebands are a bit poos and need frequent recalibration.. so I just ordered an $80 o2 sensor off tardme. Will get a wideband later and just run it when i'm playing with stuff rather than as a fulltime thing.

They dont need frequent calibration at all, Ive had mine since 08 and it has been recalibrated a grand total of two times, and one of those was only to satisfy my urge that the display was accurate...it was.

I have an innovative wideband sensor in my car, running to a a/f ratio gauge.

It does say to recalibrate it every 3 months, but i haven't done mine since i put it in 7-8 months ago and its still reading correctly, not that its hard to recalibrate, just need to remove sensor and ground a wire, could be something you do every oil change if you wanted?

Thats a great idea doing it everytime you do the oil, as it will be more than enough :)

I think the recaibration is required more if you are the sort of person that always changes the gas you run, as different additives are in each. I try and run my car on the same gas all the time so maybe thats why I havent seen any need to recalibrate it that often.

I have 02 feedback turned off on my emanage too so even if the gauge started reading incorrectly, it wouldnt change my tune.
