Depends on vehicle and how its mounted ie, to subframe or body. If it has an airbag make sure the steering wheel doesnt turn when its out.

Car is a jzs147 Aristo, same rack as a jza80 supra or a mid 90's Soarer I think. Might do a steering wheel upgrade while Im at it.

most racks will come out through the side with my experiance. Sometimes the subframe will need to be dropped to disconnect from the spline, common with fwd/subframe mounted jobs but maybe not rwd app. Can't say for certain with aristo..never done one.

Pays to keep the steering wheel in place with rope etc, if it turns when the racks out you can damage the clockspring if srs. Apart from that make sure the pinion is centred when goes back together, most have a bolt slot some don't. It just means steer wheel will be off centre if not in the same place.
