More or less the engine is radiating a lot of heat.

So some brake experts reckon your car will overheat based on the heat they felt come out from under the bonnet with no hot gauges or other symptoms?

If I were you I'd just carry on driving.

Engines do tend to radiate alot of heat.

Used to quite regularly enjoy working on my mr2 in winter thanks to it's magnificent heat radiating abilities. It was also astonishing how quick the inlet manifold would suck heat out've the head after you'd cut the engine, went from cool to the touch to burny ouchies in seconds

Liar, nobody enjoys working on mr2s.

lolmagn1t. But in all seriousness, I'd pay no attention. As stated, brake specialists commenting on radiant engine temps with no form of actually measuring it vs a NA 4AGE is hardly worth being bothered over.

It may be a safety issue with his 3in exhaust running too close to brake lines without heat shielding.
Maybe too close to the fuel tank.
Maybe a homosexual joke about having a hot 3in tube near your butt.
Maybe a TRD thermostat to match your TRD oil cap.
Maybe it was only a remark in relation to global warming/climate change, not about the car at all.
Yep, sure could be tricky.
