You could be right Coryn.

Ive never used it before but when we left Taupo on the way home from the track, I stopped at the mobil by the lake front, and they only had 91 or the premium 8000 (97.5ron) so filled up with it, and IIRC, they had something written on the pump that might back up your claim.

Cant remember what it said though...lol

S1000 is upto 3% ethanol and S8000 is upto 10% ethanol.

Synergy 8000 at Mobil has been my preference anyways over the BP's 98 I normally go to Mobil J'ville where that fuel is 3-4 cents a litre cheaper than anywhere in town or Mobil Kilbirnie they sell it there aswell.

I generally avoid Synergy 8000 if I can but I have had the odd time where I've had to put enough in to get me to a BP so I can fill up on proper 98.

When the overall increase in petrol prices proportionately increased the gap between 91 and 98, I would think.

I tend to prefer Mobil/Gull for fun fuel anyway - not that I am having turbo fun these days. Anyone have any idea if this is a temporary thing? If not, then flex fuel has just become a complete requirement for my next toy :)

Gull ForcePro uses 95 as a petrol base, perfect for flexfuel setups - just fill up at any normal 95 pump if ethanol isn't an option, or E10/E85 if the option is there. All we need is Gull to roll out to more stations :)
