AE111 TRD Adjustables - Rebuildable?

Postby FANGIN » Wed Mar 20, 2013 2:29 pm

Righto, do any of you chaps know if you can rebuild AE111 Superstrut TRD adjustables?

One of mine is leaking, and whilst the WOF man didn't pick it up this time, next time I won't be as fortunate.
Also, I've started to notice the effects and high speed cornering is no longer the pleasure it once was.

Cheers chaps,

Mike.

Pretty sure no, and they tend to take odd inserts that aren't available either.

I have a set of near new Tein super street Super strut coilovers for sale :D

Or I think you can get bilstein inserts put in the trd's for about $500 per corner. Ask "ch4ng" about this.

Yea, the problem is, my Levin is now over the 330,000km mark, the body is rough and I'm not sure it's worth it.

It would probably net a max of $2,000 if I sold it, so for the $1,000 I'd spend getting the rear end sorted, it's not worth it.

This had crossed my mind, and is probably the best thing to do.

ER, had thought of parting it out, or selling as is and advising the new owner of the situation.

The thought of demo derbying it has also crossed my mind.
