Exhaust manifold and Turbo gasket solutions

What do people use for gaskets with turbo setups?
Factory gasket for exhaust manifold? (blacktop 20v to stainless turbo manifold (evilSi))

manifold to turbo?

turbo to dump pipe?

Suggestions/comments welcome

I've been trying to get hold of some SPA Gasket Eliminator and Flange Sealant - it's had some good reviews overseas

I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!

I use thin copper sheet (~1mm), works well.

just use the standard gaskets. as long as your manifold and head surfaces are flat, then is should seal fine.

don't make your own gaskets using the exhaust gasket sheet for pre turbo pipes as they don't have a proper seal that goes around the full diameter of the opening and just break apart in no time.

only use sealants as a last resort IMO, if a piece of it becomes dislodged then it can do some terminal damage to your turbine.

Stock steel gaskets are good for manifold to cylinder head.

I use factory multilayer steel gaskets, or if needed for odd ball stuff I get stainless sheet Water cut to suit, have used copper but found it doesn't last as well as the stainless

I avoid sealants

Agreed. MLS gaskets have never let me down, and yep, I stay away from the goo too.

I run the factory gasket from the head to the manifold,
which is multi layer steel on the 20V's

And have tried a few different gasket between manifold and turbo,
and found the best is to machine the surfaces flat and run nothing at all.

Turbo to down pipe is V band or again no gasket from what I found.

Best solution for both wastegate and manifold > turbo gaskets is not to run any at all. Had manifold surface surfaced and bolted up using nordlocks, no more leaks whatsoever.

Never had an issue on the head>manifold gasket using toyota OEM multi layer steel.
