I had a quick look on www.toyodiy.com (handy for part numbers etc)

Looks like they differ, I only picked one other GT4 off trademe though to compare.

You could always try other models, not sure if something changed between 1990 and 1991. But you can browse for all models by doing a part search.

RC ECU is different from standard ST185 ECU unfortunately.

But on a side note how different is the ST205 to the ST185 RC?

ST205 controls larger injectors, W2A IC system and uses MAP vs ST185 AFM (and the pin outs on ECU are in different places between the different cars and MR2 3sgte as well)

People do use st205 ECU on ST185, but requires a little tinkering to get right

Thought so - aparently Mechanic can send mine to some place in Nelson who fixes ECU's so might have to do that. Didn't think ST205 would work as no AFM - lucky I have the use of Dan's ECU for the moment , thanks guys

find manifold outlet for MAP sensor, run map sensor + larger injectors, swap pins on ECU plug = done (i think.. never explored this in depth)

Unfortunately RC ecu's are unique, which can be a bit annoying! I had the same problem with mine, is yours bringing up code 21?

The place in Nelson is Anything Electronic IIRC (I believe Brad/XS1V put me onto them) and when i called them about it they just told me i had to go through an auto electrician to get anything done.

Ended up by getting a second one off here, but my old one got repaired. Not sure who ended up doing it, but it was a contact of Gavin Bellars. Would have been $550 if i didnt get it done as a favour! (ended up being $200)
