wheels/tyres for my trailer

Postby KinLoud » Sun Nov 03, 2013 9:56 pm

My old beaten up farm trailer has perished tyresm - never goes on the road so will condier slightly dodgy solutions! LOL
At the moment it has 185/80/10 tyres on what appear to be mini rims (4x4inch = 4x101.6mmPCD)

rims look rusty so i need to plan for the event that theyre too rusty to be reused

Solution 1 - replace tyres and inner tubes
Solution 2 - replace tyres and wheels
Solution 3 - replace with 4x100 rims (will file out holes to suit hubs) - would need to be small diameter tyres to fit onto trailer

I want to keep costs low
Suggestions?
Thanks
Ken
I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!

Gets my vote. Unless the rust has affected the strength of the wheels, i'd just do this as it's the easiest solution.

My old man bought some rims with brand new snow tyres on them for like $35 on trademe. All good for a trailer. 4x100 is close enough for a farm.
