AE101 Bushes

Postby Insighttech » Wed Nov 20, 2013 6:47 pm

So I bought a junk SC AE101 Trueno. Its failed a WOF on front sway bar D bushes and front lower control arm rear bushes. My Question is what is the cost of buying these. Any tips on removing/replacing. Should I buy genuine rubber ones or buy aftermarket nolathane. Thanks

The guy at REPCO said he could supply nolathane. I would just have to measure the sway bar to see if it was 24mm. Yes SS. Thanks

Sway bar bushes, yes you can get Nolathane.

Other bushes (ball joints?), if they are specific to SS, get genuine.

Nolathane front swaybar mounts for AE101 chassis are incorrect, they list a plain D bush which won't fit the funny angled bracket they have. Super pro do a bush to suit though
1988 KE70 Wagon - Slowly rusting
1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons
2018 Ranger - Because workcar
1997 FD3S RX-7 Type R - all brap, all the time
OMG so shiny!

TIL

I never had a problem with the sway bar bushes when I had mine, so never really paid attention to the bracket that holds them apparently.
