Hi all
I am still at 10:1 compression and the WMI nozzle flows at 600cc/min with a 50/50 mix
The WMI wasn't turned on when the gearbox failed on the dyno, it was still at the early stages of doing a non-WMI safe tune. I have set it to come on at 1psi and go max at 8psi while I am testing out the car as I was concerned with detonation. The car is also running rich, 13:1 Idle and about 11.5:1 between 200-4000RPM and is running on gull force 10 (98 octane 10% ethanol)
I have been testing the car with the new gear box (not revving it high) and sometimes it feels like I have left my foot off the gas even though I haven't, one time it has also backfired badly after doing that.
I am concerned I am having my spark quenched by the combination of WMI, boost and having a stock 2jzge ignition system.
Today I have changed the WMI settings to start at 5psi and go max flow at 15psi. I didn't feel the problem I had before, but I also didn't drive the car for as long (Had to fix a oil leak caused by a cheap turbo oil feed fitting). I am not sure about max boost, it depends how much the tuner thinks he can get out of the car with the WMI spraying, although I would be very happy if I could get 9psi (wastegate) with no WMI and close to 15 psi with it on.
Cheers
Edward
