Are you coming up for it, mate?

If so, are you staying at the same resort of most of us? If so, Ill see you there :)

Just had a wheel alignment done, had my set of track rims balanced up, fitted new turbo oil feed line, installed new spark plugs, positive battery terminal protector, and recalibrated my wideband.

Almost ready for the big day :)

I am going to it, but not staying at the resort - doubt I would be welcome haha. Just going to pop in to the track for a while to check it out, a few mates are racing. Will see you at the track though!

Better hang onto Shamils pads, just in case yours dont last, Coryn.

I will have a spare set of average pads there as back up, should your ferrodos catastrophically turn to weetbix.

Cooked them surely not a new set of pads after 3 laps. They are rated to 650 degrees C.

Cooked them where they falling off the backing plate if so thats a worry.

I can see fluid getting cooked after 3 laps not pads though can't say I've ever come across many who have done that.

Went to zebra car parts and got a rear engine mount then dropped it off at a mates to get some urethane bushes put into it
Started to get sick of the engine rocking around while idling along in start stop traffic

Yesterday changed out the rear gearbox mount on the starlet to a urethane one from molex. Would have been a lot easier if one of the captive nuts hadn't broken its weld while I was trying to get the old mount out.
Shifts a lot better and engine doesn't seem to bounce around as much. True test will be on the drive to work.

Pulled off gearbox and flywheel as clutch needs replacing. Waiting for someone to sell me a blacktop flywheel to replace the silvertop one. Will also be changing the starter motor to the intake side as I've got the bits to do that.
See ya

Sanded some bars on my rollcage. Got bored so decided to do some head porting, then got bored again and decided to figure the wiring issue on the Mirage. Got stranded on the side of the road for 20 mins when it died lol. Eventually got it going and raced back to the shed before it could die again.

Replaced spark plugs on the 2002 Corolla.

Discovered one plug well very oily. So I'll have to do the rocker cover seals at some stage I guess.

Repco card got me 50% off iridium spark plugs.

Having spent two hours getting cheap and nasty tint off the rear door windows of the Corolla, the car smells like tint adhesive. What a horrible job that was!

Installed a Pivot Speed Meter and put on some 'TWINCAM 20' stickers that arrived from Australia the other day (after putting them on I decided that I wanted them a little higher so have some more on the way )
