Pulled off my turbo beanie to try and find where my exhaust leak is coming from. Tightened every nut and bolt I could get to for the flanges and wastegate etc, but there is still a small leak, so unfortunately that means taking off the entire turbo/manifold setup to have it repaired, before the first round of the Road and Track series on April 12th.

Put it on charge.. apparently 8 days from fully charged to alarm going nuts due to flat battery is all I can expect.

Best to buy a battery maintainer, and leave it plugged in when its parked up. Alarms kill batteries :(

They are around $90 for a half decent one.

2 mins with a 10mm spanner is free, and works even with non-garaged cars :)

That will clear all of your ECU's fuel and ignition tables though, so that wont suit everyone.

It was an ae101 levin/trueno with a link ECU, not running for some reason.

Oh I know the one, was tempted myself but have too many cars and projects as it is.

If its the Link that is not working, its actually pretty well priced to send back to Link Electro themselves to find the problem. I had a Link Plus die on me and it was fixed and sent back for $95.

I think it's got a flat-ish battery. Links do not like less than 10.5v when starting.

Gonna be so happy if I whack a decent battery and it fires up

If you don't have any luck after trying a different battery check the EFI relay in the engine bay fusebox. A couple of months ago the GF's AE101 Levin suddenly wouldn't start in a shopping mall car park (would crank fine though), wasn't getting spark so I assumed it was a faulty distributor, whacked another one in from Pick-A-Part while it was still sitting in the car park and still no luck. Got it towed home by a mate, scratched my head a bit, was going to try a replacement ECU next but then deicded to swap out the engine bay relays one by one from my FX. As soon as I swapped over the EFI relay it fired into life. Went back to Pick-A-Part and grabbed two more relays, the second one is now in her glovebox, just in-case it ever happens again
