Weird Alarm Issue

I have this weird issue. My alarm randomly goes off without anything triggering it (false alarm) and when I try to disarm it to stop the siren, the car will unlocks ok but the siren just keeps going. If I press the lock button again, the car locks but the siren just keeps on going. Has anybody else had this issue before, and any advice on what could be causing it would be great.

It sounds like a siren fault to me, battery back up is kicking in due to a loss of connection most probably due to water damage or loose wiring connection. What model of alarm is it?

AVS S5.

Thinking back, I had the module changed towards the end of last year just to check if another problem I had was being caused by the alarm (which is wasn't, the alarm was fine) but when that was done that could have disturbed something, plus I don't know how good the original install was anyway as the place who did it has since closed...
