Postby 92mr2paddy » Sat Jun 14, 2014 10:06 pm

i read a little while ago that 'alcotane' supplies or used to supply e30 and e85 mixes in 20l or 200l drums, but the website doesnt work and just wondering if there any other reliable sources out there? pat

Not sure if they still exist anymore,

they had the right product but a few years too early as no-one was that keen to use it,
but now E blends are the way to go.

Not sure where you would go in the north island?

yea ive been looking but other than mixing myself with ethanol level testers etc (which im not too keen on and cant be bothered) only option is e85 from pukekohe but that means upgrading injectors.lines.pumps, and that isnt really worth it where e30 will still make a decent power increase over 98 without any upgrades required. places like STA still sell race gas but not ethanol.

You could try phoning NZEFI in Christchurch and ask if they know of a supplier in the north island?
Or maybe can get it sent to you depending on price and quantity?
