Hmmm that's what my MR2 does. Although not a big car it is low and I think the toe causes the back to skip around on bumps and wet manhole covers. Tyres are also getting low on tread too which won't help. No LSD. Seems OK under power/lack of power

well the tires were brand new when it started doing it a few months ago but she doesnt always daily it only when she feels like going for a boost haha, but they have lost their tread real fast, which seems to point to the wheel alignment aswell,

car isnt lowered (yet :p) so it shouldnt gain any more camber etc,

i got the spec sheet for alignment, rear camber is around 2degree both sides, toes was 0.6mm left rear, 6.5mm right rear, now both sides 0.6 which is within factory specs (and probably the max the standard arms will adjust too) not soo worried about camber as that only wears the inside

apart from the rear toe being WAY out its wasnt too bad, so that might the problem right there, getting new tires next week id say then just gota go for a drive when its wet again to see what the go is

Rear toe contributes massively to rear tyre wear.

Just have it reset to the lance alignment specs and be done with it

ok its been along time since i posted about this and after getting alignment and new tires things were good, recently its started to wobble quite badly as in you cant drve it in the wet at all over 40-50ks, its amazing how bad it is and even in the dry with the sticky 265's on bumps it will try to free up the back. the car doesnt get driven much atm but ive checked all the arms etc nothing is loose or looking worn, i have read that some people get factory new control arms but they didnt have the problem im facing. my supra has had alot more abuse and gets track driven and has no such issues even when the toe rod got bent few years back and toe was out by 13mm (haha) still drove fine.

Check the drive flanges that go through the centre of the rear bearings. Had this problem on my AW. It would move about 400-500mm one way or the other on the track and would go different ways on the same part of the track on different laps. Was quite interesting to drive!! Bearings were OK but the worn flanges looked like this:

holy crap thats some intense wear!! might be getting a proper manual diff for her car soon so will rip subframe apart and check those flanges!
