AE111 rear suspension bushes - where to buy?

Postby Ninja25t » Sun Oct 16, 2016 11:21 am

Can anyone tell me where I can source a full set of replacement suspension bushes for an AE111?

Preferably looking to upgrade so haven't tried Mark yet for genuine, but that's plan B. Some preliminary internet searching suggests there is a supplier in the UK (SuperFlex), but hoping to find a local agent or supplier?

Thanks,
Shane

Nolathane do the trailing arm bushes, the toe arm bushes are a spherical bush though, which seem to be bloody hard to find. I must strip some arms and get measurements.

Why Mark is plan B? Should be plan A, and if too expensive plan C, as B will turn out to be chinese crap made out of chinesium ;).

Whatever you do, do not replace toe arm bushes with nolathane, not unless you like your car steering for you ;). As stated before they are spherical bearings.

on my ST165 (pretty much same as ST16x and ST18x and possibly AE1XX) I replaced them with genuine part out of a Camry, even though they were not listed for GT4.

In anyway check out if part number 42210-14010 fits.

The rear toe arm has no rubber bushing. It is similar to a steel rose bushing. Upgrading this is either new or buying and fitting a rose joint.
The central locating arm (if this was adjustable, it would be camber arm) is the same

Nolathane do the trailing arm bushes (runs length ways on the vehicle) link below

Thanks guys, have decided to look into Toyota replacement bits because there is probably limited benefit to upgrading for my use (occassional tracking only and already have coilovers, sway bars etc.)

Plus I'm combining a BZ-R with chassis damage with a straight BZ-G. While Google tells me that the rear ends of the BZG and BZR are meant to be the same on pulling them out I note that the BZR has different inner ends on the control arms and one more mounting bolt for the rear sub-frame (plus some minor additional bracing between control arm mounting bolts). So I'm going to be lazy and let the experts have the headache of finding the correct bits (I hope!). The internals could well be the same but I have yet to press the bushes out...
