Inter CLub Meet/Cruise

Moderator: The Mod Squad

Should an inter-club event like this go ahead?

Yeah - it sounds like a good idea, i'd do it.

Inter CLub Meet/Cruise

Postby Ebola_One » Mon Dec 08, 2003 11:00 pm

Righto, here's a thought I've been toying with (no pun in tended...)

Inter club Cruise/Meet.
With a slight twist tho.

You ride with someone you never met before. from another club.
(bring a paper bag if you don't want to be seen in a Honda )

Gives you a chance to meet someone new, see what the "other sides" car is like (and gie you some insight to why they like it)

Obviously this would have to be a willing participation thing, and to prevent any nasty "show off accidents"/mishaps everyone would have to be on their best...

It'd be pretty cool if something like this did go ahead combined with a BBQ out at say Queen Charlotte park or just a day in the sun.

I think it'd be nice if the passenger was to donate some gas money to the driver and/or bring something extra for the BBQ.

I reckon that this would be quite successful so long as a few people participated.

Be brutal. If you think this is crap. tell me. if you like the idea, tell me & send money. :D

At this stage it's just a gauge of interest.

interesting concept............

it could turn out to be really good, or then again go really bad......

its almost like trying to make friends with the enemy! 8O

but in saying that, theres no real reason why we shouldnt give it a go! lol!

But seriously tho, i reckon it sounds like a good idea if it all works out, then after that maybe some sort of competition element could be brought into it? Maybe a trackday, grasskhana or drag day combined, somewhere a bit closer than meremere in the near future

You'll just have to give me a few weeks or even months to get over the idea of cruising with more than 1 honda at a time

It was an S2000 with intake, extractors and exhaust at Torque Performance ;) It idles quite nicely... interestingly enough if anything it has slightly more midrange power than stock too.

Why's that Brendan? coz you can't believe that the honda's are breathing down your neck from go to whoa? :P

I was thinking that something like this would take place within the first quarter of next year (that's jan-march for you slow thinking people)

Who else do you think should be involved in this? I still haven't put anything up on NZHondas, but will do so shortly.

Looks quite promising.
