crappy alarm problems

righto - had a bit of a blast at it yesterday during hung-over time and found a few things out:

1) the alarm had defaulted to many shitty settings including full-arm activation (why it kept going off after 30sec or 1min from dearming if no keys in ignition, 4sec(?) locking pulse and others

2) the added motor solenoid thingee for unlocking the doors has crapped itself (where is the best palce to get a new one from, repco maybe?)
i think this happened due to the lock mechanism sticking therefore putting excess strain on the solenoid

the long lock/unlock pulse is what would have cooked it... they only like a short (0.8) second pulse
