Take the bottom plate off that covers the bottom of the flywheel if you can and get someone to lock things up that way and get a big bar on the crank pulley bolt if you're still trying to get that off. Either that or do it through the starter hole if its easier to get at and starter isn't there

Or maybe put the engine in a high gear with handbrake on and so on, then try to undo the crank bolt

either use an impact gun, or an impact 6 side socket and long power bar wedge power bar against ground and crank engine - do not let it start.

one crank will loosen the bolt, make sure its wedged properly, and in the direction the engine rotates, if you cannot work this out take it to a mechanic

If bolt is a pig, use a rattle gun (as said above) if you can. Otherwise. you'll need to use a long bar as a lever and lock the flywheel so the crank won't turn (seeing as the motor is out of the car).

got the flywjeel on?
jam a screwdriver through the starter area and into the flywheel. this keeps engine from turning while you undo the bolt.
some people can do this by themselves, others may need someone to hold the screwdriver while the use both hands to undo the bolt.
if the flywheel is removed, then you can put afew of the flywheel bolts in and put a bar between them to allow toy to remove the bolt on the other side. If using this way be careful to check bolts from flywheel side after as they may bend.

have used this method countless times and never had an issue.

for the next person who needs to know this answer,

a harmonic thing ma jig is not for this, it is designed for removeing the pulley once the bolt is gone.

i removed mine by jamming a screw driver into a grove on me flywheel and getting someone else with a powerbar to undo the bolt.

the best place for this is the starter motor gap. two bolts and the starter motors off, then you have access to the flywheel

Generally, tight nuts or bolts are best loosened by applying torque
in high intensity, short duration bursts... this is what a rattle gun does.
If you don't have a rattle gun, the next best thing is to find a good strong
ring spanner. Put it on the nut and give the free end a whack with a soft
face hammer. For best results use one hand to hold the spanner in place
and and pressed in the same direction you plan to hit it.

The inertia of the crank and other rotating parts means that this will
work on the crank pulley bolt even without jamming the flywheel.
