I would have to say KiwiMR2 that is the lamest excuse for not liking a car i have EVER heard

Ahhh...I never said I didn't like it...I said I liked the Supra better ;) Basicly I see IF IM LUCKY 1 supra a day, it would either be a turbo or a non turbo, I see skylines all the time..gtr's, gts-t's, gts-4's, gt's, gts's, gxe's, gxi's....I mean damn, how many models with the similar shape do they need!! Supra for me anyday. Classy looks inside and out always appealed to me more than bitzy looking skylines and bland interiors. So mechanically strong and so much pontential with those motors check out http://www.venom-performance.com/nf/html/02tundra.htm

theres a couple of good comparisons on www.mkiv.co.nz
check out "low revs big torque" article on the home page. Quite a good read.

gime a supra ne day. I have driven both cars and although i like the off the line grip of the gtr the supra was clearly a much better package to me.

Hmm. So the 1000 hp GTR`s have no potential ? And why is it the top secret supra has a 3sgte? could it be cause the 3sgte is better? :P

Well i doubt if any of those rb26dett's are running the stock bottom end. Damn any engine has huge potential if you basically throw it away and start again with aftermarket parts.

The supra you are referring to uses a 3s-gte engine because in the class they are running in the 33s-gte has a greater power potential (ie allowed much more boost)

have a nice day

the class they are running?? The top secret supra is NOT a circuit car ! ghahaha. Who said anything about a standard bottom end? Are you saying you can get a gagillion hp out of a supra bottom end or are you trying to say the bottom end is "better" than a gtr ?

(and thanks , I am having a nice day 8) )

Its based on a gt300 car. In this class smaller capacity engines can run higher boost = similar power output + lighter engine. 3s can sit further back for more neutral handling. Had a few 3s supras beat rb26 gtrs in gt300 / 500 aswell.

hmm, pointless statment ? I think he was just defending the 2jz as a strong engine with potential.

As for 1000hp gtr, theres plenty of 1000 + hp supras around, some with stock bottom ends, prooving they're strong engines (a good point to consider if your arguing for it ova a gtr)

Check out www.t04r.com you dont find too many gtrs with this much power aswell as this much reliability (and often stock bottom ends :D ).

yeah, i know its a long speal...just stickin up for the toyota!

Yes it is still pointless as a GT300 car dont have anywhere near the power the top secret supra has..
I see your point and im not saying that the GTR is "better" or the supra has a "weak" bottom end, however , all you guys are doing is speeling on making generalisations... Do you personally know the engine details of every GTR and Supra in japan and around the world? Or do you just read some random articles here and there , make assumptions and play too much playstation 2? 8O
Anyway. My only point is that : I disagree that the supra has more "potential" than the GTR. .. maybe the same. but not more

well its all very well saying "stronger bottom end this.............blahblah...............four wheel drive that........and so on and so forth

but i guess what im trying to say is you have to look at what you want the damn thing to do, weither it be circuit/drag race or daily driver or whatever

personally i'd have a gtr as a drag car and a supra as a daily driver :D and thats all there is to it.................................oh apart from the money which i dont have :(

Bla bla bla
no different to your "assumptions" dude.

Pointless argument, no ones eva gonna let up on wot they think, lotsa evidence for each side etc etc

oh yeah, youre right, and the top secret supra would fall into gt500.

the supra

1. its a toyota
2. its more aestheticly designed
3. its on the fast and the furious(main part, noot the GTR)
4. it doesnt look like a brick with filleted edges
