Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.
its easy enough to have a bluetooth setup and output ya PC to ya 60" LCD TV
so you can still sit in the lounge, using a steering wheel (or a PS2 like controller) to play such driving games. The graphics can normally be set to such a high quality on driving games on pc that it looks MINT. The need for speed latest ones etc.
In a perfect world we could all have all the consoles and PC to boot. We just have to decide what suits us best out of the lot (unless you are loaded) I have a crappy TV and instead focus funds into nice LCD for PC then play games via that while the mrs watches the likes of americas top model, works out better for everyone
xbox - great graphics, great game selection for the time its been releaseased but an all round sack of crap peice of hardware.
Its very well known the microsoft xbox360 " red circle " of death problems where the hardware fails, its such a big issue that microsoft have regonized it and explanded its warrenty.. hardly a sign of a strong peice of hardware.
ps3 - lack of games can be annoying but with enuf time browseing you find somthing, and ive also found it to be good as its opened me up to games i wouldnt normally play, my ps3s latest title was that magical sword game thats fairly new, never ever would i normally play such a title but with the lack of other choice but money to burn i tryed somthing new.. somthing i wouldnt do with the box360.

Online
wii - Need i say more? what online gaming?
xbox - Prefect, allways a game going with respectable connection and allmost everyone using voice ( ideal for that great game of rainbox6 vegas ), Downside is it costs you a subscription.
ps3 - average to say best, you can go online and play fifa or nhl and all the other games but its not the same feel.. ive made freinds and met them in real life via xbox but this currently isnt happening with ps3 just next to know one online with a mic.

Other
wii - N/A
xbox - poor streaming media connection options to pc.. use of aftermarket software is best and still fails.. not worth it. not to easy but you can add a keyboard and mouse to browse the net.
ps3 - also poor at streaming services, this is possibly more relative to the pc output not the consoles input of the feature. I find it hard to get anything to play, " unreconised format ", but bluetooth and other such addons can be great for browsing the net etc.
Overall id rank as follows.
1st PS3
2nd xbox
3rd wii
And the "lack of games" argument wont last long for the ps3 remember its excatly 1 year behind the xbox360 so give it a few more months and it will have as bigg of a selection of games if not more.
i got me a ps3 when they got released , as the xbox just crapped its laser and wasnt reading dvd's so went got the 60gb one, pretty good consule online game play is pretty sweet and there is becoming more games available and being a sony product you that there are ample games too come and have a good budget behind them to make them.
wireless is a must for people with dogs
if any1 here has 2k7 baseball by chance and wants f1 driving championship flick a pm

Graphics are HD but god, put some effects on will ya? There's so little background detail, they focused on the cars itself too much.
GT HD actually uses the same physics engine as GT4. Basically a 1080i GT4 demo. Controls are a little more sensitive though imo
I have to admit, I had a go at the GT5 demo, chose the Lotus Exige with very soft tyres and found it to be a sledge machine. An EXIGE for Gods sake!

o yeah, had the ring of death happen to mine, rang xbox here in Aussie, ended up taking to the yanks (call must get transfered) , but sent it away as they said (at there charge) and not long got it back and so far working good
Yeah, still hardly out of the woods.. not the best star eh.. Mines poked but beacuse iopend the case After the warrnety expired then they said it hadnt it was to late..
i got my first one replaced within a day after it failed(lasted 7 months), i figure i've got 3 years of replacements anyway and by then the consoles will be dirt cheap as it is.
PS3 Next year simply because GT5 will be on it, never been a fan of the 'X Boxes' anyway.
Plus GT4 is the only game I really play on my PS2.
Apparently GT5 when released late next year will have the Top Gear Test Track so that will be quite exciting. The Game producers and BBC TG have signed a contract regarding it so on top of that on the Playstation Network there will be viewable TG series from the net on a PS3...
So if there were no PC I would go with PS3 (choosing lesser evil), because:
it is based on open standards (even if the actual PS3 is closed) - they use OpenGL. The hardware is more innovative. I think that Sony has become the evil organisation, that Microsoft is, but I still think that Sony is making a better hardware. The other good thing about Sony - it makes developers to use OpenGL and it is 1 step towards "training" the developers to develop multi-platform games (it is much easier to port OpenGL games to different platforms than DirectX games).
Most people don't care but Microsoft has been getting into your pockets through absolute monopoly that it tries to achieve (and so far succeeded), the bad thing about is that it extinguishes innovation (same with copyright laws) and makes impossible for smaller businesses to survive.
and WTF is a Wii anyway?
Come on people, who actually buys a console based on politics?
"Yes, I bought this console because of my political stance on the game scene! Too bad all the games are crap..."

ARRGGHHHH the decisions... I want both consoles for different reasons... Looks like i'm going to give in to the PS3... I knew that would happen... It's what i wanted originally but the xbox is cheaper...
*sigh*
Drinking 42 BELOW Passionfruit Vodka is like walking along the street and seeing this really hot girl and all you can think is "Man, I don't understand how anyone can be gay".
Got heavenly sword for my ps3 last week - dear god that is a beautiful game. It seems a bit short, as i have almost finished it already, but the graphics in it are amazing!!!
