Who thinks the NSDW need a class change??

only way (other than dyo) you'd get closer racing would be bracket racing. even having cc rating classes wouldnt make it much more even. for example, in a 0-1600 turbo class, sure you'l kick barry and the supras out, but will still have mildly modified fwd starlets and the likes, running in 14's 15's. against 4agte's etc.. running 20psi on big turbos, doing 11's and 12's

LOW TOY is 1600 does 11.5s, there is another corolla wagon also 1600 did a 11.0 at the nationals.

Another point worth mentioning, is that weight plays a big part in drag racing as well, and the heavier cars like the supras have to spend a lot more money and make more power to run the same times as the lighter cars.
If you play it smart, you can put a cheaper, less powerful engine in a lighter car and still be competitive, and I think Barry is a perfect example of that. Some of those guys have spent almost the same on their engines as he has on his entire build.
Choose a class that you can be competitive in. If you don't have a fast car, go in DYO and teach yourself to be consistent. Even if you could only do a 17 flat every time, you can still win in that class.
