When Ross Brawn went to Ferrari they were a dead duck and it was a big challenge to get to the top and then to dominate.
He faces the same challenge at Honda, but does he have the driver, Jenson Button, to do it?
It's only the Brake system that is really in question at McLaren and I'm sure they would have covered themselves over that.

any takers on weather or not they get slammed like macca?
If they did cheat, they should recieve the exact same treatment. It even looks like they are using the same, "yeah we had material but we didn't use it" excuse. Who knows if they did or not, but as I said, it should definitely be investigated thoroughly and justice done. Same treatment for all.
As for next years MacLaren, I doubt they would be foolish enough to have used anything. Hopefully all the crap gets sorted and Honda bust it out! Although as mentioned, I dunno if Button has enough to be number one, maybe up to like number 3 or 4. Is Barrichelo still the other driver?
Dig a hole for the next man and you'll fall in.

Worst kept secret in F1 Alonso seems to be definitely going back to Renault.
Ross Brawn going to Honda good on him they really need the help just like another big Japanese team man I wish Toyota would have splashed some more cash to get a hold of these two.I know they tried to get Alonso but if they had have got Ross Brawn now that would have been a real bonus for the team because just about every where that guy goes success quickly follow's.

And Honda have denied it, besides which they have two drivers already contracted for 2008, so there's no room at the inn for Alonshole.
Fred is waiting until the result of the FIA hearing into Reanult's spying on McLaren. If it goes badly for Renault, then he might look at other options. Other issue is that he only wants a one year deal, so he is free to go to Ferrari in 2009 (if they would have him), and all the teams want a minimum 2 year deal for their investment.
Who knows, if it goes bad for Renault they may even quit F1 and he might end up sitting out the season...Stranger things have happened in F1 before.

not only that, but mclaren not given the ok on their car yet.
gotta wait till like 3 weeks before the first race....
is mad max going to say no car not ok therefore pretty much kicking mclaren out
I think Ron Dennis should just turn up at mad max's place with backless pants. It'd at least be out in the open that mad max is reaming ron's ass.
Maybe Mclaren & Mercedes need to threaten to walk from f1 too, it seemed to work for Renault

a lot has happened.....
mad max is still endearing himself to everyone
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/64505
alonsa did what everyone thought he would
the FIA is still inconsistant
toyota have set a dead line for results by 2010, but dont actually say what happens if not successful
biggest LOL for me was:

i was hoping toyota would pick up Kovalainen... but oh well. at least we wont have to watch ralf this year

But it is understood that his speed ultimately cost him the chance of staying on board at Renault, because the returning Fernando Alonso did not want a teammate to pose the kind of challenge that he faced with Lewis Hamilton at McLaren this year.

I think Glock will drive well for them this year. And you can hardly call the FIA inconsistant. Mac deserved everything they got. They basically came out and said, yeah, we had waay more than we admitted to you, and maybe even our future car was gonna use stolen tech. So now we've said we're sorry can we not have that review and forget the whole thing? And the FIA said yes. Time for F1 to move on.

I think no one of any note is lining up to drive for them because I think they still have a fair way to go before they are competitive on a consistent basis hence why your Alonso's and Kovalinen's pass Toyota by.
I to would like to see a top echelon driver go to Toyota but until the team lifts its game and delivers at least competitive consistency they'll only get the 2nd choice driver's.

ah no
hello! renualt?!
and they never said that..... they said more ppl knew about it that they first thought, but they never said "and maybe even our future car was gonna use stolen tech"
Yes they did, reread Whitmarsh's letter.
He basically said, um yes caught us red handed, we have removed 3 bits from the 2008 car, can we play now. (nice to see that man of intregrity, Ron Dennis got Whitmarsh to write the letter)
Renault received the exact same treatment as Mclaren, but Renault did not lie when caught.
