Going by the fact that people who have done 1:20s were doing 1:55s at Taupo, it sounds like your car is quite frisky Warren. Nicely done! And good to see you are still trucking on with the EVO in go and show.

Pizzaboy in the Integra is good for 1.22

60 Cuba 1.18 but will be quicker with slicks

2JZ-GTE 1.19-1.20

I think manfield is a little quicker than Taupo as most of the corners are fast and quite open with the only slow section being through esses and the hairpin.

A setup Evo should have to many problems cracking 1.20 as grip is what AWD cars have and this is a great advantage to have.....

What does dirty ol Dave Duncan do around Manfield Coryn?

I'd be keen to take him on and try and keep his flapper quiet

Mate,

We have'nt seen him this year but I would guess and say 1.20 somewhere in this neighbourhood...He's good to go out there with he rockets off down the straights but needs to go a bit harder in the corners and under brakes thats were you can get him but he's gone down the straights I got some good footage of Dave and I harrassing him at Manfield last year...

Fastest I've ever timed Dave around Manfeild was 1.23

i was hitting bout 200k i think down the back in the mk3, but couldn't get the power down out of the corner, and braking well early. in dads mk4 (the white one) i hit about 170k, and was braking near the 50m board (specially the time you passed me on the back straight, left braking real late to try and catch you again!) but his is n/a and auto, so again, not good power out of the corner, and just didn't have the guts down the straight.

i think coryn hit near 210?

The quickest I got down the backstraight at Taupo was 215 kph I think 60 Cuba was probably 220 plus.60 Cuba was doing probably 220 using his low boost setting but with the high boost setting I'm not sure but maybe RH9 could comment there as he used that when they were running around together...

Jesus you were braking from 170 at the 50 metre board I have to be honest here I no the MKIV brakes are good but when I was doing 200 and something it was braking at the 150 metre board for me and even then I was having issues with getting through the tight ess section..Maybe this is because I was taking the wrong line through there but if I tried to brake inside the 100 metre board at these speeds I would never be able to make the intial turn in I no this for a fact.To be honest I thought I was going to be doing 230-240 down that straight but the exit speed at the other end is so slow I was just dreaming with even 230 kph...

My back straight speeds were recorded with a Blitz I-D meter which is hooked to my speed sensor, basically you weigh the car with you and gas in it in my case 1600 kgs and then put the car on a hoist and calibrate it against the speedo. At 100 kph there is a 2 kph difference at 200 kph there is about 6-7 kph difference...

Into 6th at Taupo bro, im geared to do 245kph in 5th so i guess i'm touching 250kph.........lil bit less than Puke where im in 6th a lil longer.

No bl00dy good when im still slow in corners

Coryn you musta been goin quicker than 210kph?? Dave must hit 260kph when he overtook me on his "high boost" lap??

Guys use this to calculate your speeds in gear. Make sure you enter your correct tire sizes and ratios:
