i even read somewhere on the ltsa site that they wipe the overdue reg fines if you hand the plates in.

put the van onto 'a' class rego, it's only $52 for a year, beats paying $180odd bucks.
then de register it.
in theory it shouldn't cost you more than about $60.

that wouldn't work at all.
for a start the rego due is up untill this date, you can't change that to A class rego as you can't go back in time.... or did i miss that news
secondly, I think you will find there its no A class rego anymore.
AE86less, getting plates remade without the plates is probably the most common situation, some steals a plate so you have to get it remade and obviously can't hand in the stolen plates
so just say someone must have loosened the bolts holding them on and they must have fallen off as you can't find them anywhere.
only bother going to this extent that if its going to actually save you the rego fees..... best you find that out first.

i'm not interested in an arguement but i do have a car on A class rego.
