I like the angular look of an R-34. It just looks so aggresive, and thats what I like about the R-34.
But I think the Supra look sooo much sexier (well the MKIV anyways), and I own one, so I'd go with Supra

Supra any day...Yes, I realise there is a ton of difference between your common or garden GTS-t and a GT-R, but the silhoutte is still there. Nothing else on the road looks like a Supra.
Plus its 3 litres..no replacement for displacement right?
Also, the interior is nicer in a Supra, and also having 6 gears is a plus.
If I was offered a GT-R at the right price I'd still buy one though.
1988 KE70 Wagon - Slowly rusting
1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons
2018 Ranger - Because workcar
1997 FD3S RX-7 Type R - all brap, all the time
OMG so shiny!

Both the Supra and the GT-R are awesome cars, 1000hp+ is acheivable in both.
Both a bit on the heavy side, but when you've got 1000hp+ to play around with, a couple hundy KG's ain't gonna mean squat ;)

But theres just something about the GT-R that appeals to me more than the Supra. Maybe it's cause I was a Nissan fan long before I got into Toyota's. I dunno.

My pic of the lot is the R34. Not only is it the looker of the GT-R's, but the best performer of the GT-R's as well :D
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

GTR for me, especially the R34's, they look so much more aggressive imo than a supra.
Also the pace around a track of the R34 GTR, its more of a performance car where are the supra is more of a tourer.

From a purely taste standpoint, I go the GT-R. I've been fortunate enough to experience both GTRs and Supras - and I really like the motor and drivetrain of the Supra, good, strong, and easy to make good power from. However, I really don't like the package.

To me, Supras lack any spirit... they feel and look not quite all there to me, very hard to describe - which is why I emphasise this is purely from a taste perspective. They are very very good cars, and go incredibly hard - awesome power delivery, good handling, good brakes etc.

However, with a GT-R - despite people saying they look plain (to me Supras look like someone have been designed by checklist - "Got scoops? Got wing? Got arches?etc OK - we have a sports car..."), where as *GT-R*s have a certain presence to them. They aren't something that is trying to be a big means sports car, they are a touring car that is pumped up on steroids and ends up just having a staunch presense.

GT-Rs *feel* like something a bit special - they rev and sound more exotic than 2JZs (not talking about performance, talking about driver impression), they sit on the road a certain way, they have the "look at my afterburners" thing going on, spit fire whenever there is the need, and have ludicris amounts of traction yet will still powerslide and powerslide (and then bite) in a way no RWD Turbo will do so. They are quite a lot of fun for a barge :)

Time and time again ive seen comparisons and the summary is usually : the supra is the best all round to be a fast daily driver but if you want a weekend thrasher/racer then go the gtr.
I could sell one of my gtr`s and get a supra , they are one of my fav cars. but i won`t.... hehe 8)

lol thats the stupidest thing anyone has said yet dude! Didnt see that coming at all 8O

Anyway GT-R for me also, they have far more race pedigree, and if you know what you are looking at, they differ an awful lot from a GTS-t or 4 or whatever. Even though they are brilliant cars as well. I dont see why people call them common when there are more EVO's and WRX's out there, even more Clubsports let alone the sea off tinny 20v's everywhere...

The supra is an awsome car, agreed, in terms of they make alot of power (the turbo ones, shakes head at N/A version) but they look like a blob of plastic, the interior has the usual blande boring sterile toyota thing going on, and they sound awful for a inline 6-

now IMO if i wanted a drag car, i would strip out a supra, bolt on a T88 and drive it- If i wanted a refined track car, well Nissan all the way. The supra has really done nothing over the years to upstage the Nissan in motorsport, only time i have seem them racing is JGTC but how much skyline or supra is in them apart from badges!

GT-R.

Right - you're never sitting in the front again - you have been demoted to the miniature back seat - PERMANENTLY!!!
