I thought he meant it might be sunnier + grippier track so akane will do 12's and leave the competition behind?

Nah man, you were so desperate to beat me that you launched early and foul'd on red light. And reactions are not counted towards the ET.
You jumped me about 4 cars and I was "OMGWTF?", and I caught up at the end you were only 1/2 a car length ahead of me at the finishing line.

But they still counted my run which was odd
Anyway, I was feeling lonely on my own up there in front so backed off to allow you to catch up

How do you mean they still counted your run?
What was the time and mph, that will let us know you
really are telling the truth about backing off

Sorry I wasn't able to make it ... sounds like a good day
I'll come down next time and try to make up for the lack of NA 1600 Toys giving the Honda's a run for their money

I know I jumped the start as I saw the red light, but they still gave me a time slip
14.2sec while Akane got a 14.02.

just wondering here GT4_20, did you have many/any traction problems on the track? What 60' times were you doing?

They only gave ETs and Trap Speeds. No 60ft etc..

As above. Car did break traction quite a bit when going from 1st to 2nd with the car twitching quite noticeably.

you always get a timeslip regardless of red light or reaction time

When I did the same thing a while back, I did get a time slip but it said 'disqalified' on it
Wonder what would have happened if I'd beaten Akane's time

If you've red lit and the other driver didn't there's no way you can win the race. You still have a legit run down the stip but lost the race, can't think why it would just say disqualified.
Anyone know why there were no 60ft times? I didn't see anyone crash into the sensors

I think the main reason is because they were slack and had to write the times etc on a little slip and didn't print it out like normally...

I would say it was because they werent running the proper timing gear, which was an extra $2k or whatever.

RomanV - correct - the compulink timing system which is what is run at the NSDW costs $2000 to run - when we first got there and it was raining and only a handful of cars we decided not to run it.
I have spoken with Champion and we will have another day locked in soon - looking like March at this stage.
